Down and up and down and up

Caleigh enjoys her walk-behind toy. It makes noises and lights up. She is pretty good at walking along behind it, too, pushing it away from her and then stepping toward it (repeat).

She has started to clap her hands. Sometimes she moves both
hands together, but usually she holds the left hand still, looks at it, and hit it with her right hand. Then she laughs and puts both hands in her mouth. [So cute.]

PJs

A lazy morning at home. It's good to be home, with my Mama and my toys.

I like to crawl towards the camera when Mama tries to take my picture. And GRIN.

That's me at my table, making the banjo play that good 'ol bluegrass music again and again. Yee haw!

Oh, and four top teeth are coming through! In the last couple days, one front tooth has broken through just enough that I can scrape it again a lower tooth. It feels funny to me, but Mama and Daddy make a funny face because of the (grating) sound.

Eyelashes

We took these when Caleigh tried meat for the first time (still pureed). She is pretty expressive upon trying new flavors. And she's got some pretty long eyelashes, we noticed when looking through these pics.

Eight months old!

Now that I am so active, these monthly pictures are more challenging for Mama. I'm "unofficially" 28" long and 18 pounds. Mama says it feels like I gained a pound overnight! There is so much to see, pat, pound, eat, stomp, hug and explore these days! And I'm able to make so many sounds, too. Oh, and there are tables and chairs and people's legs -- all just waiting for me to pull up to standing on them! And just WATCH OUT when music is playing when I'm standing, as I like to do deep knee bends and bounce (aka "dance"). It makes me laugh when I see myself in the mirror(at least, I THINK that's me!). And I still love the bath and glad Mama is finally rotating some new toys in the tub...don't know why she thought I wanted to play with the same ol' walrus everytime. It's a fun world!

At the zoo again

I really like the giraffes! And am just generally a happy camper.

Pre-election day surprise visitor

It was fun to see Mr. Wesley Wilson again -- in our area campaigning the day before the big elections. I'm always up for visitors and new faces (although these pictures don't show me at my "smiley" best).

CHEESE!

Caleigh and Mama had a good time at the zoo with the Harnlys.
Another zoo trip to celebrate Caleigh's "month" birthday -- this time 8 months! And left to ourselves we never would have thought of posing for a picture in the swiss cheese display! Thanks for the idea, Kristen. ;-)

Preparing to fly

Here I am trying on part of my costume...and the final result. I kind of like these wings!

I enjoy being a Ladybug

I've had these same two teeth for almost three months. I'm glad they are growing but where are the rest? My costume was cozy warm. Mama and Daddy were surprised the puffy tummy didn't slow down my crawling or standing.

Sometimes I just like to sit and smile. It's pretty clear that Mama and Daddy make me laugh. I enjoy that about them. ;-)

Interesting angle

I like pulling up on about anything. Here I am ready for dinner. Who wants to feed me?

Just hanging out

It's nearly the end of October and a little chilly outside. Mama says 'sweater weather' is her favorite season. I like standing around with Daddy -- he makes sure I don't fall down. You can see our new green-painted hall behind us there.
