Visiting Great-Grandpa

A nice trip to visit Great-Grandpa. He always remembers the kids, and they enjoy talking to him and telling him all about what is going on in their lives.

Snow!

The kids loved the snow!

Christmas morning

Once again we were pleased to join with Logan, Ciera & now Anna! for Christmas morning at Mom and Kenneth's.

Love the expressions of teamwork and helping the older two had. And the looks of joy, wonder, and contentment throughout the morning.

Great Grandma Gearheart

And her grand and great-grand kids.

We are about too wide for group shot. ;-)

Not sure what our older two are picking out of their teeth!

We had to laugh at some of the angle shots where you couldn't see Great-Grandma as she sunk down between Darin and Logan on the sofa and kind of hid away down there. ;-)

Yep - this is the best one!

Girls and Great-grandma

Anna was sleeping through this photo shoot or we would have had all the great-granddaughters together with great-grandma.

And another attempt at a photo with the three kids in it. ;-)

Our Caleigh

Beautiful, sisterly, elegant in her 4-year-old way, tall, comfortable with herself.

We also have a series of shots, attempting to get all three kids to smile/act normal at the same time in front the Christmas tree. The combination of expressions make me laugh so hard I cannot post them...

More from Christmas Eve

We enjoyed the day, preparing for Christ's birthday celebration by making merry with extended family at Aunt Judy's. A relaxing morning (well, after Dan and Lori went to town to sign loan refinance papers with a notary who met us at Subway...), the kids enjoyed dressing up and playing and napping in preparation for a long afternoon and evening.

To Judy and Robert's for lunch and opening gifts (kids) before the Christmas Eve service at the Baptist church. It still amazes me that hardly anyone in the family goes to the same church and all but the Schantzes live in Floyd! But it is always nice to celebrate this service as one big family, taking up three whole pews!

Look at our little boy's hair! Cutting it didn't seem to take away the curl. Give him some tractors, hay bales and his trusty side-kick, elephant (aka Pooh) and he's good to go.

Mrs. Claus

...on Christmas Eve.

Our sweet Caroline

And she even goes "baa baa baaaaa" when we sing those words to her. Cute!

A few shots from 12/23/10.

Venturing out into the Floyd snow

Happy critters, aren't they? ;-)

Excited to get out and play and then excited to get back inside and tell Caroline all about it.

Caleigh and Zach tromped around the house, examining stumps and twigs and looking out at the fields of snow. Great snow depth for burning off a little energy.
