Zach on the tractor and other fun

We fed goats and ate lunch under the gazebo.

Zach got on and off the tractor and rode us to "feed the cows!" multiple times. He would call out to the few people that did come into the play area that "Me ride tractor! Feed cows! Over there!" and he would point to the lone (large and fake) cow across the yard. HA!

Caleigh ROCKED the go cart pedal car area. I would show other pictures but she was going to fast for picture clarity! We spent 5 HOURS at this cool park in Medford NJ with the Voorhis - so fun!! So much to do. And everybody was great. The kids very much enjoyed the treat at the end, too - pink (strawberry) ice cream for Caleigh and a purple butterfly cookie for Zach.

But the driving! Caleigh ran back over to it 5 times. It was a great day to visit with hardly anyone there so no lines! But the day was beautiful! Caleigh must have been very tired with all that exercise, but she just kept going and going and going...

Mother's Day

A really good day starting with breakfast in bed. I stayed home from church with Zach and Caroline, as they were a bit sickly. We are blessed this hardly ever happens.

A good nap opportunity in the afternoon and much playing with the kids. Great day.

More from Caroline at 7 months

She loves (to eat) Legos. Daddy is happy. ;-)

She has much to say. She is chatting more and more with Eeyore and other lovely soft toys in her crib before crying to be picked up. She also loves to talk to herself in the mirror attached to her crib. Although she usually knocks it down and looks like she is trying to eat her image. I'm seeing a pattern here....

Caroline at 7 months

WOW! Time goes so fast. She seems so old with all this movement and expression and fending for herself without Mama in Bible studies and the church nursery.

What to report? No teeth but she chews on everything in sight. Loves to smile at us. Quite a jolly soul. We think her body and temperament are between Caleigh and Zach. Persistent. Starting to protest when yummy things such as electrical cords, plastic zip-lock bags, cardboard and pieces of food siblings drop are taken away before she can eat them. She is beautiful.

Aside - Caleigh is showing an older version of her persistence. She talks about trying until she gets it right, repeating something until she understands, working at something until she is happy with the result. She can (chooses to) concentrate for longer periods of time. She is silly and joyful. She is excited about what her brain and body can do. She comes up with the funniest things to say...

Caroline finished her book and was asking for another, more challenging one as she is so wise at 7 months. ;-) We especially like this book (thanks, Maureen!) as it's gnaw-able and floats in the tub and has a whole host of other good qualities.

Tee-ball

On a bit of a whim, Lori bought a t-ball set for Caleigh. Really it was due to a friend's 4 year old daughter whacking a ball off a tee on a play date that set her to thinking Caleigh was 'behind.' ;-) So...Zach likes it and Caleigh is off bouncing a basketball and shooting hoops (even better! ;-)

I love this action shot of Zach smacking the ball. Actually, though, he hits the tee so hard the ball flies off. Maybe soon he'll hit the ball!

Three

We have three children!

Who won't sit still, come into my frame, smile or even look in my direction at the same time. We love them.

And doesn't Zach's hair look extra luminescent? Niiiiice.

Caroline loves riding on Daddy's shoulders (and pulling his ears and hair).

She is also a champion sitter and smiler. ;-) We think the third picture is a little too flirty!

She has a little tuft of hair up front (it can make a mini Mohawk!).

She is getting harder to capture as she bolts as soon as you sit her down. There is less posing and more action shots where she stops.

She loves to gnaw on tags and ribbons. She giggles at herself in the mirror. She lets out laughter and flaps her arms wildly when you come to get her from nap during the day/bed in the morning.

She has to be over 18lbs. and gives our arms quite a workout. But I so love the heft of her, especially when she's up against my chest asleep after eating.
