On top of Daddy's shoulders

Again, they're dressing me up like a boy, but what fun it is to be so high! I like to grab onto hair and Daddy's is just as good as Mama's.

Caleigh and Great-grandpa Gearheart

I didn't think great-grandpa would play in the floor with me, but he did! What a good memory for me.

Tracy and Caleigh

Mama's cousin Tracy stopped by to visit and held me a bit. What fun!

Up, up and away.......

Caleigh absolutely LOVED this balloon. It was floating around the den and somehow Caleigh got the string entwined around her fingers...and she didn't let it go for an hour.

Caleigh and Great-grandma Gearheart

I had such fun hanging out with great-grandma. She cooked Mama yummy lunches and played with me a lot. I like it when she kisses on me (gives me sugar).

Caleigh, Uncle Logan, and Ciera

I like hanging out with Uncle Logan and his fiancee, Ciera. They make me laugh and like to cuddle me. It's so much fun to be around my Floyd family.

Do I like peas?

Let me think........looks good coming in......NOPE! I don't like peas! Caleigh's first non-rice cereal food was peas (Mama really likes peas...). Guess that's not hereditary. The faces she made -- gagging and such. Next we tried carrots and she really liked them!

Cheese!

And now on display...a hand painted, ultra-soft, cheese & mouse onesie. Thanks, Sunny!

Anyone need an oil change?

Daddy and Mama think it's fun to dress me up like a little boy sometimes, and I especially like the mechanic's outfit. ;-)

6 months old!!

27" long and 16 lbs., 14 ozs. She's our healthy, happy, growing girl who brings much joy, love and laughter to our lives. What a wonderful 1/2 year it has been! (9/7)

Another dress from Oma

And looking quite hip, we think.

First cookie (teething biscuit)

Caleigh enjoyed her first cookie and successfully got it all over herself (9/5).

She impressed us by passing the biscuit back and forth between her hands...without ever taking the biscuit out of her mouth.

Watch out...here I come!

Caleigh discovered how to lunge/ creep/ get to where she wants to be on Sept. 3. She was still a bit slow about it, but we can see her sheer determination coming through. She is able to get up on all fours and move her arms and legs a bit, but she doesn't go anywhere. We are amazed at her arm strength, though, as she can pull herself forward. Crawling can't be long!

Looking good in my dress from China

That's Oma and I, dressed for church on Sept. 3.

I love dragonflies! Thanks for thinking of me while you were traveling, Oma!

(Oh - and that's freshly painted white trim behind us. Soon the walls will be a nice soothing shade of green!)

It's a long way home....

But we made it! Jan, Caleigh and Lori drove from Middleville, MI to Upper Darby, PA in 15 hours flat. We'll always remember August 31 as Grandpa and Grandma Reed's 60th anniversary and the day we pulled the trailer home. The hutch top and bottom have been reunited! ;-)

Caleigh was a trooper and enjoyed playing lots of games in the back seat with Oma. She's seen a lot of country-side, this little girl. Seven states and the District of Columbia before her 6 month birthday!

Caleigh's first trip to Shipshewana, Indiana

We four generations had a great day shopping at the Shipshewana flea market & Yoder's store, and eating at the Blue Gate restaurant. It was a bit cool and a little rain fell early in the day, but Caleigh was a hit in her cute hat and toasty warm outfit.

Great-grandma Reed and Caleigh

Caleigh loves playing with the nesting cups. Well...she also likes banging the table with whatever is in her hands.

We love their facial expressions. ;-)

Caleigh's new grin

Daddy's eyes are watching...
And that's yet another cousin....you can tell because he has the 'family' shirt on. ;-)

Party!

Chicken or beef? Dan and Lori enjoyed serving up the main course during the post-church rush.

And we all loved wearing matching shirts, as everyone could tell who was part of the family.

The happy couple, celebrating 60 years (with the sign to the YUMMY ice cream truck in the background).

Oma and three grandchildren

Hanging out at Aunt Jacquie's place after Caleigh's baby shower. Caleigh had a great time watching Isaac run around and holding onto Eli's face.

THANKS Barb for organizing, Jacquie for hosting, and everyone for welcoming Caleigh into the family. What a fun time!

The whole family (missing only 10!)

Getter girls and Caleigh

The great-granddaughters of Dan's Mom's parents (Grandma and Grandpa Reed). We all enjoyed being with family in Michigan, celebrating the Reed 60th wedding anniversary and Grandpa Reed's 80th birthday celebration, and generally having a great time.

Caleigh enjoyed meeting her extended family and they all just loved meeting her! She is the 10th great-grandchild in this wonderful family.

SOLD!

Bye bye townhouse! Hooray!
