We like basketball

Tonight for our first dinner on the porch of 2008 (finally warm enough) Caleigh looked at Dan and said, "I play basketball Daddy." WHEW HEW -- music to Mama's ears!! Honest...no coaching involved here. We had talked about what the kids were doing down the street...and March Madness is now over (with the women playing tonight)...and there is that little basketball hoop we bought her before she was born... ;-)

Back to our time in Floyd in Feb. (I'll try to finish up that trip tonight & stop giving our loyal readers whiplash ;-).

The Floyd County High School girl's team played a first round regional game at home while we were in Floyd. Caleigh enjoyed the game, but spent the better part of one half coloring at my feet. Zachary slept, smiled, and never got out of his car seat -- so peaceful. Mama enjoyed being surrounded by family, chatting with old high school friends and seeing former teachers/employer/etc., and rooting for the Lady Buffs -- still being coached by her junior & senior year coach. Not to ruin the drama, but they eventually won state again this year! Third time in 15 years & under the same coach. Not to give out my age, but my time at FCHS predates the state championships. ;-)
