Day trip to French Creek State Park

We didn't hike much, but we saw some water, played on the playground equipment, ate and enjoyed the day (8/8/09). And perhaps the best part of the day was adding a tour of Hopewell Furnace to our day. Caleigh is now a junior ranger (see the proudly displayed badge)! We hit a good day as they had live demonstrations of how to make decorative stove pieces and lots of fun buildings to explore. The kids liked the 'olden' toys. Caleigh informed us that she enjoyed being a "jolly ranger" and a "giant reindeer" on the ride home. "Junior Ranger" must not have struck her as meaningful. Ha!
