Working backward

It's been too long since we've posted again. Things tend to happen in clusters and I get overwhelmed with the amount of pictures and stories that need to be told. So instead of starting where we left off, I'll start again from this past weekend so you can see what the kids are looking like & doing right now. ;-)
Daddy cuts Caleigh's grilled cheese into little triangles (like he grew up with) and she seems to like it too!
This is Zach's preferred pose -- thumb in mouth and rubbing his head -- when he is thinking of going to sleep.
Caleigh thinks she is going somewhere...
Caleigh is becoming more verbal. She has been making complex, complete sentences for some time now. It's fun to hold conversations with her. She'll say "remember..." and tell me about something that happened five minutes or five weeks ago and/or show me an object that relates to something we talked about. Yesterday she held up a little car and said "this goes in the attic...remember?" Yes indeed, child, we were looking for that car to go with the track in the attic -- last week. She says "it's day, the sun is up" or that it is "very & very dark, it's night." We're not sure where she got "very & very" but we think it's cute.
Zach is growing and sleeping well and usually pretty calm & easy. He is not a fan of tummy time and still surprises us with dabs and gushes of spit up (some well after a nice meal), but we do laundry and go on. He laughs, he coos, he gurgles. Caleigh like to "guuu" back at him and hold his hand. He enjoys watching her and gives her big smiles too. We are happy they already seem to really like each other.
